There's a very low chance somebody on here happens to have played the PS2 version of Splinter Cell Double Agent on a PS2 emulator on a specific setting, but I'll ask anyway. On PCSX2, you could play PS2 games on either 'software' or 'hardware' mode. Software mode mainly uses your CPU, and runs it exactly like how a PS2 would.
Hardware mode uses your GPU, allowing for more consistent framerates and significantly higher resolution, making it feel a lot more like playing the original Splinter Cell games on PC. Unfortunately, every game has graphics glitches and issues in hardware mode, making it non viable to play hardware mode in most games. In DX11 mode there's weird vertical shades that are a bit annoying, and in DX9 it's good except the shadows and distant objects are weirdly pixelated.
Basically; has anybody played Double Agent on the PCSX2 emulator on hardware mode? Which hardware mode did you chose, and did it make the game painful to play?
EDIT - I posted this somewhere else too, couldnt be bothered fixing the explanations you guys woiuld already know
